Putting Our Economy, Communities, and Families First
New York works best when hardworking families, farmers, and small businesses are allowed to thrive.

Terry Bernardo is running for State Senate to bring practical leadership back to Albany and deliver results for District 51. As a former small business owner and community leader, Terry understands firsthand what it takes to balance a budget, meet payroll, and plan for the future. She knows that when government gets out of the way, people succeed.

Terry is focused on three priorities: strengthening our economy, restoring public safety, and fixing New York State government.
A Stronger Economy for Working Families and Local Businesses
Too many New Yorkers feel squeezed by rising costs, high taxes, and an economy that no longer works for everyday people.

Terry believes economic growth starts locally, with families, farms, and small businesses that form the backbone of our communities. In the State Senate, she will fight to lower the tax burden on working families and seniors, support small businesses and agriculture by cutting red tape and outdated regulations, encourage job creation and investment across Upstate New York, and protect homeowners from runaway property taxes.

Terry knows that prosperity does not come from Albany mandates. It comes from empowering local communities and allowing entrepreneurs and farmers to do what they do best. A healthier economy means stronger neighborhoods, better schools, and more opportunity for the next generation.
Keeping Our Communities Safe
Every family deserves to feel safe at home, at work, and in their community.

Terry supports commonsense public safety policies that protect victims, support law enforcement, and ensure accountability in the justice system. She believes New York must prioritize giving law enforcement the resources they need to do their jobs safely and effectively, holding violent offenders accountable, supporting prevention programs that strengthen families and neighborhoods, and respecting the rule of law while promoting community-based solutions.

Public safety is not partisan. It is foundational. Terry will always stand for safe streets, secure communities, and a justice system that works.
Fixing Albany and Restoring Common Sense
New Yorkers deserve a government that is efficient, accountable, and focused on results.

Terry is committed to bringing a fresh, practical voice to Albany. She will work to reduce wasteful spending and demand fiscal responsibility, simplify government and improve basic services, increase transparency and accountability, and make sure decisions are driven by real-world impact, not bureaucracy.
As someone who has managed budgets and run a business, Terry brings a results-oriented mindset to public service. She believes government should work for the people, not the other way around.
